As your support workers we aim to help you achieve your professional and personal goals. To this end, we will work with you and help you acquire the skills you need to excel on the work or educational front.
Under our assistance to access and maintain employment or higher education service our team will help you:
- Identify desirable career and educational opportunities.
- Develop skills required to prove your eligibility for your choice of opportunities.
- Maintain existing employment situations.
- With career counselling and career planning.
- Develop basic money management skills.
- Understand workplace ethics and expectations.
- With the paperwork related to your work or education.
Assist-Life Stage, Transition
Our support workers will be there at each step of your journey to smoothen the transition process for the changes that await you in your life. Starting a new journey could be overwhelming, but we can make it less so with the proper support and care. Our support workers will offer the needed support and resources and ensure you are fully equipped to welcome the changes that awaits you on the personal and professional front.
Our support worker will:

- Help execute the changes you wish to make in your personal or professional life.
- Offer peer support and provide the moral support you need to adapt to the upcoming changes.
Assist-Personal Activities
Our assistance with personal activities service is meant to cater to your personal needs in a
non-intrusive manner. Under this service, you can customise the level of assistance you require
and our team will act as per your wishes. Our team of expert support workers will work round-
the-clock and ensure that your daily tasks are smoothly executed.
Some of the personal activities that we assist you with include:
- Ensure timely preparation and intake of nutritious meal while giving preference to your needs.
- Assistance with hygiene activities like grooming, showering, or dressing.
- Help you understand and use mobility aids, household appliances, assistive, technologies, etc.
- Assistance with toileting, bladder, and bowel movements.
- Help you with household tasks like laundry, changing bed linens etc.
- Carrying out everyday appointments.
- Moving in and out of bed.
Assist-Travel/Transport
Our support workers know that being cooped up at home has a negative impact on an
individual’s social, economic, and professional life. Therefore, we encourage all the participants
to travel to different destinations while providing the support they need. Under this support
service, we aim to build capacity in participants and help them travel as autonomously as
possible. One of our friendly support workers will drive you to and from your desired place and
ensure your safety at all times.
Assistance in travel/transportation includes but is not limited to:
- Driving you to and from school, and/or work.
- Visiting your local library.
- Going to shopping centres, etc.
- Visiting a doctor, and/or a pharmacy.
- Assisting you to use assistive vehicles or public transportation while giving proper considerations to your health.
- Travel assistance for regular trips and getaways.
Daily Tasks/Shared Living
We know that excessive assistance could seem intrusive to many, so to create a balance we
don’t limit your freedom to carry out activities of your own. Our care is not about restricting your
movement or freedom but becoming the support system that will help you live as freely and
independently as possible. We will work around your wishes and requirements and provide you
with the desired level of care and assistance.
This support service will allow you to:
- Independently carry out everyday tasks without compromising your safety.
- Carry out self-care practices independently under expert supervision.
- Manage your budget and finances.
- Be on top of your medications, healthcare and tracking progress.
- Keep a track of bills, and expenses and pay those in time.
- Help you find alternative accommodation options including shared living if the need be.
- Be up-to date with all your work including writing mails and paperwork.
- Maintain healthy personal and professional communication.
- Manage your time effectively.
Innovative Community Participation
We feel that our responsibility is not just assisting you in your everyday life but providing you a
space where you could grow and excel. Our care workers will provide you opportunities to take
part in community activities that will contribute to your personal and professional growth and be
an active source of recreation. We will help you travel far as your heart desires, to chase your
interests and aspirations and develop a sense of community.
Under this service we will:

- Promote your engagement in community activities to create a sense of belonging.
- Actively conduct workshops to give your professional self a constant stimulus for growth.
- Conduct diverse sessions to develop new interests and hobbies and take forward your existing ones.

Development-Life Skills
Our support services would never limit your growth but teach you the life skills required to sail
smoothly through your life. With this service, we will help you develop life skills you need to
achieve your NDIS goals and make way for better living. You can choose any skill of your
choice and our team will secure opportunities to help you polish them.
To carry forward this goal, we will:
- Organise sessions meant for personal development including problem-solving skills, interpersonal skills and communication skills.
- Motivate you to undertake small everyday tasks on your own.
- Teach you to keep track of your health and medications.
- Help you develop financial management and budgeting skills.
- Ensure intake of a proper diet as that’s the foundation of healthy living.
- Allow you to take assistive vehicles or public transportation while giving proper considerations to your health and safety.
Household Tasks
Under this task, all the participants will be given full assistance with all household chores
including, cleaning, cooking, gardening, and ironing. Basically, support workers will be
undertaking all the tasks required to ensure the proper functioning of the participants’ household
and securing for them a safe and healthy environment. Here, our team will respect your wishes
and provide as much support as you require.
Some basic household tasks fulfilled by our support workers are:
- Meal planning, preparation, and cooking.
- Providing assistance with dishwashing, and kitchen cleaning
- Offering individualised basic skill development training.
- Helping with regular household clearing activities like brooming, dusting, and mopping.
- Assisting with changing linen, drying and folding laundry.
- Catering for the usual garden maintenance tasks.
- Provide assistance with specialised household equipment.
Participate in Community
We at Raphael Care understand the importance that social interaction has on an individual’s
life. So, with this service we will be actively creating opportunities for community participation
and through it break the everyday monotony and create a sense of belongingness. These
activities will be communal, social and civic in nature and help you become a person with active
engagements of all kinds.
Our community participation activities include:
- Visiting libraries or taking part in book clubs.
- Carry out self-care; going for movies and concerts, depending on your preference.
- Regular trips and getaways.
- Join social groups or hobby classes.
- Maintaining constant interaction with friends and family.
- Going for regular walks.
- Regularly visiting community centres.
- Going to your local shopping centre.
Group/Centre Activities
Our group/centre-based activity service is meant to bring you out into the world outside and help
you create a sense of belongingness. We believe to lead an autonomous life and truly enjoy the
freedom that life offers, you need to have a life beyond the four walls of your home. And this is
the aspect that our group/centre activities target. We will help you step out into the world outside
and participate with the larger community around without compromising your safety.
This service will include but is not limited to:
- A regular engagement in recreational activity of your choice like art and craft, music, dancing, picnics, etc.
- Engagement in health-oriented activities like yoga, swimming, walks, etc, to ensure physical wellbeing.
- Assistance in life skills development activities like cooking, personal care, household tasks, etc.
- We also offer community access to all kinds of services and activities like libraries, community events, museums, volunteer groups and art galleries.
Short and Medium-Term Accommodation/Respite
In accordance with NDIS plans, we not only offer long term assistance services but also short
and medium ones to cater to the needs of the participants and their family. While short term
accommodations can be availed for 28 days in a year, mid-term one can be extended to three
months in a year. The accommodation offered under this service would be disability-friendly and
a support worker will always be available to take care of your needs.
The kind of assistance provided includes:
- Help you connect with new people and find a community of like-minded people.
- If you wish to take a break from the regular care of a family member and wish to secure some personal time to relax and rejuvenate, we offer tailored service suitable for such situations.
- While modifications to your home are underway, you can opt for short-term accommodation for that period of time.
- In case you are waiting for your assistive technologies to arrive, this service could come in handy.
- Help you participate in community activities in the absence of your primary carers.
Supported Independent Living Accommodation
If you wish to lead a comfortable existence within a home-like environment you can opt for our
supported independent living accommodation. This support works more like a homecare facility
where we offer you accommodation on a sharing basis and you are looked after by our team of
health care specialists, giving the necessary assistance and care. In this structure you get to
decide how much assistance you require; may it be full time or just during some hours of the
day.
Services included in this type of support system include:
- Help and supervision for your daily tasks.
- Assistance for personal care tasks including dressing, getting in and out of bed, cooking.
- Assist you with your everyday grocery shopping needs.
- 24*7 care and medication management.
- Provide basic travel assistance in case you have to visit the bank, library, your place of work, community centres, hospital, etc.
